What’s happening in phase 3.
This will see work taking place from the South Train Shed to the junction with Blossom Street.
It will require nighttime closures in this area, with the road closing at 8.00pm each night from Monday 15 June until work is finished by 6.00am on Friday 19 June. The road will reopen each morning at 6.00am.
This is to allow for the full resurfacing of the carriageway.
During the nighttime closures access to the portico will be maintained for Blue Badge holders and taxis only, with access only possible via the Station Rise end of Station Road.
We know Station Road is a significant and well used road in the city so want to share information to help people plan ahead and get around the city, whatever mode of transport they use.
While there has been lots of work to minimise disruption during these nighttime closures, we're expecting the inner ring road to be very busy so we're asking people to plan ahead and consider other ways to travel to the city centre.
York, the station and its neighbouring businesses are open for business.
