This website links to other websites managed by City of York Council. When you navigate to these websites it may be very clear you have gone to a different website or it may be seamless (ie you are not aware that you have been anywhere else). These websites include:

Online payments

This website includes the facility to make some payments. The following card types are accepted:

  • Mastercards
  • VISA
  • Switch/Maestro
  • Delta (VISA Debit)
  • JCB
  • Electron
  • Solo
There is a 2% charge for all Credit Card payments.

American Express and Diners cards are not accepted.

The online payments service is available seven days a week, except between 5.30pm and 5.45pm daily to allow for essential maintenance to take place.

If you experience any difficulties using the service contact us on 01904 551146, during office hours (8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday).

Javascript must be enabled in your browser in order to make an online payment.

A receipt can be sent to you by email after making a payment. Please make sure to fill in the email address box on the payment form in order to receive a receipt.

  • Payments received up until 5:30pm on any working day will normally show on the council's records on the following working day.

  • Payments received after this, overnight, at weekends and on a bank holiday will show on the council's records the day after the next working day.

Secure online payments

Our online payments service uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology so that data sent over the internet is encrypted. You can check that a web page is secure by looking for the "https" prefix in the web page address and the "lock icon" in the status bar of your browser.
