HMO authorisation permits and visitor parking permits

A House of Multiple Occupancy permit (HMO) is a property occupied by unrelated tenants, each with a self-contained, lockable room in the property.

On-street parking is restricted in residents' priority parking scheme (ResPark) zones, unless you or your visitors have been issued with a valid permit.

Residents will need a HMO authorisation permit before they can buy digital visitor parking permits for visitors to use in their ResPark zone.

If you already have a valid HMO permit for your own vehicle, you will not require a HMO authorisation permit as your HMO permit will also enable you to purchase visitor permits.

Each household is entitled to an annual allocation of 200 daily visitor Permits

Visitor permits are digital. Each visitor permit is valid for 1 day, and lasts from the time it is validated until 10.00am the next day.
