Special control parking permits

You can apply for a special control parking permit if you live in a house or flat in the residents' priority parking scheme (ResPark) special control zones within:

the Micklegate area
the North Street area
Agar Street

Unlike standard household parking permits, only 1 permit can be issued and no visitor parking permits can be purchased. Permit holders may also be restricted to certain bays within a zone.

This is due to the restricted availability of on-street parking within the special control zones.

To be entitled to a special control Permit you must be the first or only resident at the property and not reside in a House of Multiple Occupancy (HMO).

This is a digital permit and can only be issued with a valid email address. No physical permit will be issued.

The permit is vehicle specific.
