Consultations on the Draft CIL Charging Schedule
To prepare for submission of the draft Charging Schedule for examination, the Council undertook public consultation on the relevant documents.
Spring 2023
In January 2023, Executive agreed to proceed with a public consultation on the CIL draft charging schedule following preparation of the appropriate evidence base. A public consultation was held between February and March 2023 to consult on the relevant documents.
The proposed CIL rates in the Draft Charging Schedule were based on the conclusions of the CIL Viability Study (December 2022).

Winter 2023
Following the comments received during the previous consultation, the Council undertook sensitivity testing to test alternatives and whether the charging schedule proposed remained viable. This consultation in December 2023 to January 2024 set out the revised draft CIL charging schedule following this testing.
