Housing repairs and coronavirus

We are experiencing high call volumes following lockdown periods and a backlog of repairs so please be patient when contacting us.

If you or anyone in the property have symptoms such as a new and persistent cough and/or high temperature or if anyone self-isolating within the property or has been diagnosed with Coronavirus you must let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule our visit.

We may ask you to clean the around the area that we will be repairing as thoroughly as possible, where able open windows in the room and if able wear a mask. You may be asked to be in a separate room while our trade’s worker/operatives is on-site until the appointment is undertaken.

It's your responsibility to take good care of your home. We take on most of the responsibility for council house repairs. However, there are certain council house repairs you have to pay for.

Our phone lines are open 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Please report any repairs that are needed as soon as possible; however, our lines are quieter towards the end of the working week so for non-emergencies please ring later in the week.

Reporting a repair

When you report a repair please give us:

  • your name
  • your address
  • your contact telephone number
  • as much detail as you can about the problem

You can report a repair:

  • by calling us on 01904 551550 (option 4, option 1)
  • to Housing Officers who visit you at home
