A 'non-dependant' is someone who normally lives with you such as an adult son, daughter, relative or friend. We reduce Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support for each non-dependant living in your home.

We can't assist with fuel/meal charges if they're included in your rent. We therefore deduct these from the rent amount we use to calculate how much Housing Benefit you'll receive.
