Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP) provided extra financial support to help with rent in addition to Universal Credit Housing Allowance or Housing Benefit.
Applications for DHP closed on 1 April 2026.
Support is now available from the York Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF).
If you made a DHP application before 1 April 2026, you your application will be considered and you will be notified of the decision as soon as possible.
You can provide the information needed to support your application, including bank statements, budget information and background information by:

- an in-person appointment at West Offices, please book an appointment first
