Tenant and Leaseholder Annual Report: Tenancy standard
The fair allocation and lettings of homes is covered in this standard. How we manage your tenancy is also covered. We will:
- allocate homes in a fair and transparent way that meets the needs of tenants
- support tenants to maintain their tenancy terms and provide advice and support if a tenancy is ended
- offer tenancies that meet the needs of tenants
- support the mutual exchange of homes by tenants
What we have done
- reduced the time taken to relet a home. This means as many homes are available as possible.
- offered intensive support to those beginning a tenancy through our Introductory Housing Management Officer roles.
What we will do
- develop a new Tenancy Policy based on a person centred approach
- deliver affordable homes at Burnholme and Duncombe Barracks
- speed up the process for those applying to be on the Housing Register
