An introduction to Public Health

City of York sexual and reproductive health services provision consultation

The provision of free, comprehensive, open access sexual health and contraceptive services is a mandated Public Health function of local authorities as part of the Health and Social Care Act 2012.

We're working closely with the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to review the provision of sexual and reproductive health services in York, as part of the re-procurement of the service for the next 10 years.

See further information about the City of York sexual and reproductive health services provision consultation.

We're responsible for the health of people living, working, studying and visiting York.
