Technical information about this system’s accessibility

We are committed to making our online services accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations, 2018.

This part of our website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG); any non-compliances are listed.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Not all Hyper-text mark-up language (HTML) elements are distinguishable using a unique aria-label, which could cause problems rendering the page, particularly for users with assistive technology - this relates to WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion 4.1.1.
  • The order of headings is not always semantically correct, which could make it harder for users with assistive technology to understand the structure of the content - this relates to WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion 1.3.3.
  • Some ARIA attributes may not be well supported on the HTML elements to which they're applied, which could cause compatibility problems for users with assistive technology - this relates to WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion 4.1.2.
  • Some links with the same name may not have the same purpose, which could mean users find it hard to understand the destination of links or become confused when navigating - this relates to WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria 2.4.9 and 3.2.4.
