Planning application validation requirements
For an application to be valid, it must be accompanied by the relevant forms, plans and supporting documents, providing sufficient information for it to be properly considered. Our validation requirements for planning and other applications document is intended to guide you in putting your application together.
Your application is legally valid only when the necessary information is provided to an acceptable standard.
Unless submitted electronically, one original with 3 copies of the application form, plans and supporting documents must be provided.
For outline applications, the drawings required will depend upon the reserved matters for which approval is being sought.
