This part of our website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), due the non-compliances listed.
Non-compliances and non-accessible content
Currently:
- legends may not be included for all fieldsets, so information, structure, and relationships conveyed through presentation may not be programmatically determined or available in text - this relates to success criterion (A) 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships)
- there may be some lists of related items that are not written semantically as a list, affecting the assistive technologies' ability to easily navigate from item to item, or past entire groups of links if the user wants to - this relates to success criterion (A) 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships)
- some text on this website may not sufficiently contrast with its background colour, so that people with moderate visual impairments can read it - this relates to success criterion (AA) 1.4.3 (Contrast - Minimum)
- some form controls do not contrast sufficiently with their surroundings, meaning some people cannot see them and are unable to complete the form with ease - this relates to success criterion (AA) 1.4.11 (Non-text Contrast)
- each page may not have an appropriate title, so users may not be able to identify and distinguish different pages - this relates to success criterion (A) 2.4.2 (Page Titled)
- some controls may not change appearance when they are selected, this means that without a focus indicator sighted keyboard users cannot operate the page - this relates to success criterion (AA) 2.4.7 (Focus Visible)
- the language of every page is not specified, so people using assistive technology may not get information in the correct language - this relates to success criterion (A) 3.1.1
- a submit button may not be included on all forms, so users may not know what input data is expected - this relates to success criterion (A) 3.2.2 (Labels or Instructions)
We have identified the areas of this system that need to be addressed in order to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We're working with our suppliers to rectify known issues at the time of each software update.
