Tenant and Leaseholder Annual Report 2025 to 2026

This standard focusses on safe, well-maintained neighbourhoods. We will:

• Ensure the safety of shared spaces
• Cooperate locally with relevant partners to promote social, environmental and economic wellbeing
• Have a clear route for the reporting of antisocial behaviour (ASB) and hate incidents. Have an effective approach for dealing with it
• Effectively respond to cases of domestic abuse

What we have done:

• Revised our ASB Policy. The new policy was approved in January 2026. You can read more about this on our website at Council’s pledge to tackle tenants’ priorities unlocks new improvements  
• Carried out training with our Housing Management Officers to make sure they have the skills and knowledge to tackle ASB in your neighbourhoods
• Carried out a programme of housing led Estate Walkabouts
• Worked with the Neighbourhood Caretakers to make sure they are improving the areas of housing land most important to you

What we will be doing this year:

• Improving the monitoring of our ASB cases to make sure that we provide a consistent service across the City. Accurately record all our ASB
• Developing a programme to improve our communal areas. Launching a new policy relating to communal areas to make sure they are managed in a fair and consistent way and provide you with safe spaces
• Working more closely with colleagues in the Community Safety Hub to make sure service delivery is consistent when we are managing ASB
