Customers who use British Sign Language (BSL) can access our interpreting service (provided by Sign Solutions) when visiting our customer centre and/or when contacting our customer service team from elsewhere, using the link below and providing minimum requirements are met.
Use BSL to contact us
When you contact us via a BSL interpreter you'll be connected via video link; the interpreter will telephone us and translate your conversation with our customer service representative. Watch this video to find out more, or see the troubleshooting guide for further information.
The service is accessible via Windows, Apple and Android devices.
- Phone and tablet users can access the service via the Interpreters Live app – first time users should contact Sign Solutions for a free app invitation
- PC users will need a webcam and Adobe Flash player
All users require a minimum upload speed of 1mb per second.
The service is compatible with the following browsers:
- Google Chrome version 46 and later
- Firefox version 45 and later
- Opera version 39 and later
- Safari 9
- Internet Explorer 11
Safari and Internet Explorer users need to download the plugin when prompted. You will only need to do this once, next time you will be taken straight to the call button.

Using BSL in West Offices
In our customer centre you'll see window stickers and communitcation cards you can use to indicate you require the BSL video interpreting service.
You'll be shown to a meeting room where we'll use a video link to contact an interpreter, who will translate your conversation with our customer service representative.
