Solar for Schools

We're supporting schools to decarbonise by working with Solar For Schools, who offer free solar panels for schools to provide renewable energy and reduce costs of electricity.

Through this partnership, Solar For Schools has now installed solar panels on Clifton Green Primary School, Lord Deramore’s Primary School, and Danesgate School.

York Community Energy and Solar For Schools have also worked to install solar panels at Huntingdon Primary Academy and Archbishop Holgate’s School.

Through their programme they also offer sustainability resources to aid with teaching on topics such as renewable energy and power systems.
