It is located within the attractive village of Dunnington, which is just 6 miles out of the city centre.
There are local shops which are only a short walk away via a footpath from The Glebe. These include a local butcher, hairdresser, dentist, newsagent, fish and chip shop, two public houses and a veterinary surgery.
The local library, The Reading Room, is on Church Street - just a short walk away.

There is a regular bus service to various cities and towns including York, Pocklington, Bridlington, Hull and Stamford Bridge. The bus service to York runs every 20 minutes.

There are 15 flats and 7 flatlets within The Glebe, and 6 bungalows attached to the site.
There is access to the first floor by lift and stairs.
Flats are equipped with their own telephone point, television sockets, bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom.
Flatlets have a telephone point and television socket. Each flatlet has a large living-room with a sleeping area, which can be curtained off. Each has a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom and a walk-in storage cupboard.
All flats have central heating and all are connected to the community alarm system.
Outside, there are pleasant gardens to the back of the building and a well tended garden to the front and around the car park, which is for tenants' use.
The building is fully covered by a fire alarm system, with smoke detectors in all corridors and each flat is fitted with a smoke detector.
