Your safety responsibilities
You are responsible for the safe use of your stairlifts and ceiling hoists.
Report faults promptly: If your stairlift or hoist is not working correctly, contact us immediately. Don't attempt to repair it yourself.
Do not modify equipment: Altering or tampering with stairlifts or hoists can create serious safety risks.
Keep the area clear: Ensure the track and surrounding space are free from obstacles to prevent accidents.
Attend scheduled servicing: Allow access for annual servicing and repairs. Missed appointments can lead to unsafe equipment.
Use equipment as intended: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe use. Misuse can cause injury or damage.
Getting equipment or adaptations for your council home
If you have a disability and your council home causes you difficulties, we may be able to help by adapting your home to help you live life as fully and independently as possible.
