There are a number of community venues across York offering a wide range of services and activities.

These venues are supported by The Community Venues Network, local libraries and children's centres.

Council-run community venues

If you’re looking to host a meeting, organise an event, run a club, or simply find a space where your community can come together, York has a wide range of council-run and council-owned venues available to hire.

These range from small meeting rooms perfect for private discussions, to large halls for larger events and activities.

Community Venues Network

The Community Venues Network is a working group of community centres and venues across the city.

The aim of the network is to provide mutual support to create a cohesive and effective service to local communities.
