Talking Points sessions

We are pleased to announce that our face to face Talking Points are making a return!

Our Talking Points give you the opportunity to have informal face to face conversations with our adult social care staff, who can help you talk through options and get advice and support in a more personal way.

We are shortly going to be visiting Community Hubs across York. If you would like to come and see us then please get in touch with our customer contact workers for details of where we will be and when.

In the meantime we also continue to offer online video appointments using Microsoft Teams. You can book an appointment with a member of the team on a given date and time.

As usual, you will be able to access information, advice and support from staff as well as find out more about local activities, support and resources. You can also find out lots about our city on LiveWellYork.

Please telephone: 01904 555111 or email: adult.socialsupport@york.gov.uk for further arrangements.

Our approach to adult social care helps you to decide what’s important to you and how you would like to meet your goals in a way that fits your circumstances, strengths and vision. We want to:

  • offer flexibility to suit you and your situation, working with you to choose the outcomes you want
  • connect you to your community and the support around you
  • make it easier for you to talk to us

Carers' Clinics

If you’re a carer, we want to help you to support friends and family as much as possible.

Come to one of our monthly Carers' Clinics held at community venues across York, where we make sure carers, as well as those they're caring for, get the support they need.

Contact our Adult Social Care Team to find out about our next Carers' Clinic.
