Transport Direct Payments

A new personalised approach will mean you have greater choice and control over your transport needs via Transport Direct Payments, a type of payment made through your personal budget.

People who get a Transport Direct Payment will be able to choose their support from a list of council-approved transport providers, or from other providers (not included on the list) if you wish.

Fleet Transportation Service

Our Fleet Transportation Service is being reduced, with anticipated closure in 2019/20.

Customer and Carer Forum

We're working with carers and family members to establish a Customer and Carer Forum to discuss the changes to adults' transport.

This forum will meet on a regular basis with scheduled meeting dates for 2018 as follows:

  • Monday 20 August
  • Monday 15 October
  • Monday 17 December

All meetings will be held in West Offices, from 3.00pm to 5.00pm.
