Use this form to apply for a marriage venue licence (link opens in a new window), if you want to hold:

• civil marriage and/or civil partnership ceremonies in a non-religious venue
• civil partnership ceremonies in a religious venue

The following supporting documents are required as part of your application.

• a set of plans of the premises, showing all the rooms where it's intended that marriages or civil partnerships will take place
• a copy of the current fire risk assessment
• a copy of the current public liability insurance
• copies of other licences

If you're not able to submit these documents as part of your online application, you'll need to provide them by email or post before your application can be considered.

Please be aware that our system will 'time-out' after 10 minutes spent on each page of this application. We recommend that you gather the required information and prepare copies of digital documents ahead of completing the form, as it's not possible to save a partially completed form, nor to retrieve information if the time-out period is reached.
