Under the City of York Council’s Code of Conduct, officers are required to declare all offers of gifts and hospitality, whether accepted or declined, except for small, routine items such as calendars, diaries, pens, or other low-value tokens. Any gift or hospitality that exceeds a minimal value or could be perceived as an inducement must be declared.
The Council maintains a Gifts and Hospitality Register to record these declarations. The register is updated twice a year and includes information from May 2022 onwards. Please note that the names of recipients are only published for Senior Officers (Grade 12 or above).
