  • give seven days' notice where possible

Trading on behalf of a charity

Apply for charitable fete or gala trading consent if you're holding or taking part in an event such as a charitable fete or gala:

  • one occasional street trading licence will be required for all charitable traders
  • send your completed form to Licensing Services with the appropriate fee
  • give seven days' notice where possible
  • other 'commercial traders' taking part will need to apply for consent individually

If you wish to trade on behalf of a charity (at the charity stall area) in York city centre, you need to seek permission from the City Centre Manager's Office.
