Clarence Gardens has been awarded a Green Flag Award. Sites that carry the Green Flag status are considered to be the best in the country.

These small, traditional public gardens, enclosed by mature trees, offer a breathing space in a busy urban setting. They are situated adjacent to York District Hospital. There is easy access with level pathways. Cycling is not allowed in the gardens.

Please note that barbecues are not permitted in the park.

Buses

Buses run frequently from the city centre to York District Hospital, opposite Clarence Gardens.

There are no council car parks close to this location.

Parking is available next to Clarence Gardens in a private pay and display car park.

Please note that a number of surrounding streets fall with Residents' Priority Parking Scheme zones
