Estate walkabouts

We’re committed to keeping your neighbourhood safe, clean, and well-maintained - and we’d love for you to be part of it.

What are estate walkabouts?

Estate walkabouts are regular inspections of where you live. They include communal areas, shared spaces, and some streets. Our Housing Management Officers, Building Services and Estate Workers will welcome you joining them. These take place at least once every 12 months, dates, times and meeting places are below.

It’s a great opportunity to:

  • share your views on your local area
  • help us identify issues early
  • work together to improve your community

We’ll be visiting estates across York. For each walkabout, we’ll share:

  • area, streets, and blocks
  • Housing Management Officer
  • date
  • start time
  • meeting point
  • estimated duration
