Residents across York will soon be receiving the first edition of Our York, a new council newsletter bringing together news, updates and stories from across the city.

From Thursday 23 April, copies of Our York will begin landing on doorsteps, keeping residents informed about the services, projects and people helping to make York a great place to live.

Our York highlights what’s happening in neighbourhoods across the city, focusing on everyday issues that matter most to residents.

What’s inside the first edition of Our York

  • An update on York Hungry Minds, the city’s growing initiative providing free school breakfasts to thousands of primary school children, helping them arrive at school ready to learn.

  • Stories from residents benefiting from free home energy‑efficiency improvements, helping to make homes warmer and cut heating bills.
