Parents and carers in York are being invited to have their say in a citywide survey over the next few weeks.

Organised by Raise York, the local network of people, places and online support which helps children, young people and families from pregnancy to adulthood, it’s hoped that feedback from the survey will shape support and services for families in the city.

The survey asks for parents’ and carers’ experiences of support and services for families in York and will run until Tuesday 31 March. Raise York partners are keen to hear from thousands of parents and carers across the city.

Everyone completing the short survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Love2shop voucher.

Cllr Bob Webb, City of York Council’s Executive Member for Children, Young People and Education, said:

This is the largest survey of parents and carers in York for many years and it’s a great way for people to share their views and experiences of supporting children and young people in the city. We hope that the results will help shape support and services for families now and in the future, so I’d urge as many people as possible to get involved.

Parents and carers can either complete the short survey online or collect a paper copy from any of the city’s Explore Library centres.

Surveys must be completed and returned by 31 March 2026. The evaluation of the survey will be completed by researchers from York St John University as part of the city’s Raise York Research Partnership initiative.
