With Key Stage 5 results and Key Stage 4 results due over the next few days [14 August and 21 August, respectively], City of York Council is reminding young people about the support available at this
Help is available for school leavers who are seeking an apprenticeship or employment opportunity, wanting to move into full time education in York or wanting more information to help them to understand the range of options available for accessing education, employment or training.
Councillor Bob Webb, the council’s Executive Member for Children, Young People and Education, said:
Whilst this time of year can be exciting as you make plans for the future it can also be an anxious one for young people and their families, especially if you need specific grades to take the next step.
“It’s important that students know that support and advice is available locally, whatever their results. And there’s plenty of help to move forward, whether that’s into education, an apprenticeship, starting a career, or a change of direction into something new.”
