This former clay workings is 1 of the 5 remaining flooded brick pits in York. The pond is well stocked with a variety of coarse fish species and has 11 fishing platforms.
Management
Management of the site is currently by the City of York Council, who are working up plans for new management arrangements which we aim to have in place by autumn 2025.
There is no charge to fish, however you will need an Environment Agency rod licence.
