Occupational therapy

We offer free occupational therapy assessments to anyone who has identified needs which meet the Care Act eligibility criteria.

If this is the case, we can offer support where your disability impacts on your everyday life.

This may be through:

  • advice and information
  • equipment to enable you to remain independent at home
  • adapting your home environment to enable you to access to your living facilities
  • offering housing advice to enable you to move to a more accessible property

Equipment to help you in your home

We have produced some videos which help demonstrate the different types of equipment which could be installed in your home to help you live independently for longer.

These videos are for information purposes only; we will not be able to supply or fund this type of equipment without identifying that you have an eligible need. For further information, contact the Adult Social Care Team.

Disabled Facilities Grant

You may also be able to apply for a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) which can help to pay for work on your home to help you live more independently.
