Led by the Mayoral Investment Fund in York and North Yorkshire, the Cultural Passport for Young People will provide creative and cultural activities to develop and inspire the future of young people from disadvantaged areas of the Combined Authority boundary.

The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) have awarded funding to City of York Council to develop and manage the Cultural Passport for Young People programme.
Alongside both York's Cultural Strategy and North Yorkshire's Cultural Strategy and with the support of North Yorkshire Council, initial pilot projects in York and North Yorkshire focused on creative activities for young people aged 11 to 18, and helped us understand the current state of the cultural and creative offering for young people.
Increasing skills and aspirations
The next phase of the Cultural Passport for Young People programme invites applications for organisations to request up to £20,000 in funding, for projects which provide cultural and creative activities for young people from underprivileged areas within the YNYCA boundary.
We hope to increase skillset, aspiration to study and work in the sector, and develop the health and wellbeing of young people through creativity.
