The Minster Badge gives York residents discounts on parking in council car parks and on-street parking bays.
You'll be able to:
- park at a reduced rate in most council car parks during the day
- park for £1 after 6.00pm in most council car parks
- park for £1 in on-street parking bays after 6.00pm where an evening tariff applies
- Electric Vehicles which will continue to be able to park for free overnight whilst charging at Fast chargepoints with the Minster Badge
This is a digital permit and can only be issued with a valid email address. No physical permit will be issued.
The permit is vehicle specific. If you change your vehicle, you must notify Parking Services by emailing parking@york.gov.uk to inform us of your new vehicle registration so your details can be updated. You must allow up to 10 days for the new vehicle details to be added before using Pay on Exit or Pay by Phone.
