What to expect from your survey
During the survey there will be no more than 2 surveyors in your property.
The survey should take no longer than 30 minutes; 15 minutes inside and 15 minutes outside.
Access will be required to all rooms, including the roof space and outside areas when the survey is undertaken.
If you live in a building that has shared communal areas and drying areas, these will also be surveyed. Communal items include:
- fire alarms
- emergency lighting
- communal lighting
- doors
- decoration
- floor covering
- access to and from the building
Furniture or any other items won’t need to be moved.
