York Youth Council

York Youth Council represents the voice of young people in our area; they campaign to influence decision makers, and have involvement with UK Youth Parliament.

A York Youth Council member said:

We're passionate young people working together to build a better city for all children across York. Join us and make a real difference, today!

Our Youth Councillors are able to:

  • Campaign for legitimate change
  • Be consulted by decision makers/li>
  • Attend regional and national conference
  • Represent their peers
  • Network with other inspiring young people
  • Learn how to impact the world around them

Our aim is to have at least two youth councillors from every secondary school in York to guarantee adequate representation of all.
