The 'Statement of Persons Nominated' for the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority Mayoral Election held on Thursday 2 May 2024, stated these candidates:
- Cunliffe-Lister, Felicity Clare – Liberal Democrats
- Duncan, Keane Charles – The Conservative Party Candidate
- Foster, Kevin – The Green Party candidate
- Haslam, Paul – Independent
- Skaith, David – Labour and Co-operative Party
- Tordoff, Keith Graham – Independent

Voting took place from 7.00am to 10.00pm, on Thursday 2 May, with the election count held on Friday 3 May (the day after). Voters attending the polling station for the election had to take photographic identification in order to be able to vote.
