York Acorn Running Club

York Acorn Running Club is a friendly, sociable and easy-going running club that was formed in 1982.

With a mixture of ages, abilities, experiences and interests (including road, trail, fell, cross-country and track); most runners will find something to suit them at our club. We participate in events at a local, national and international level and our members travel from all over the York Region to run together.

We also consider the social side of the club very important; many runners stay for a chat and/or a drink after training. In addition to this we also meet for various other activities such as walking and orienteering events.

We gladly welcome newcomers. Whatever your interests and ability you will find encouragement and support from our members.

Runners meet at the Acorn Amateur Rugby League Club on Thanet Road every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.00pm, ready to start running at 7.15pm. Changing rooms and showers are available.
