Holgate ward grant funding

Holgate Residents' Forum grant funding is available to community groups and organisations to apply for funding for projects that address the Holgate Ward Priorities. The Holgate Ward Team can also use this fund to directly commission projects that address the priorities.

The budget for 2014 to 2015 is £4790. Grant application froms and guidance notes are available to download. So far, the following grants have been awarded from Holgate Residents' Forum for 2014 to 2015:

Poppleton Road Memorial Hall To upgrade stage lighting dimmer system from analogue to digital to ensure the system is fit for purpose for hall users for years to come £485
Holgate Windmill Preservation Society To put on permanent display a piece of educational artwork in the snicket leading up to the windmill. A 3.6m wide Bass Relief Mural depicting the farming of grain over 3 seasons. £200
Poppleton Road Out of School Club To purchase equipment to run a summer programme of sports and activities for children attending the holiday club facility. £600
Holgate Pre-School To provide art and outdoor activity materials in order to offer the full Early Years Curriculum to local children. £500
St Paul's Out of School Club 'Sports to Go!' To provide a wider variety of indoor and outdoor sports and physical activities. £545.76
Friends of Leeman Park To purchase spring flowering bulbs, safety signs, grass seed, picnic bench and bricks to make physical improvements to the Cinder Path between Jubilee Terrace and Scarborough Bridge. £620.52
