Guest house and small hotel proprietors can apply for guest house parking permits (also known as guest house authorisation cards).
These permits allow paying guests to park in the residents' priority parking scheme (ResPark) zone where your guest house is located.
Each permit allows one vehicle to park in the guest house or community bays within that zone.
The number of permits which can be issued depends on the number of guest rooms in your premises and the number of off-street parking spaces you already have.
Evidence of eligibility for a guest house permit
You will need to provide:
- documentary evidence that your guest house or small hotel is registered with the Yorkshire Tourist Information Centre
- documentary evidence that it has planning consent for use as a guest house or small hotel
- proof of compliance with health and safety and fire regulations
- a copy of your Business Rates annual demand
