Planned maintenance to the Planning Portal

Due to an upgrade to the Planning Portal between 9.00am on Friday 24 November and 6.00pm on Saturday 25 November, you'll be unable to view documents online during this time.

Poppleton Residents' Association meet regularly to discuss areas of interest to local residents. If you would like more information about their meetings, please contact them by email:

We're looking for more volunteers to get involved with the community in the Rural West Villages area. If you're interested, read more about Residents' Associations and how to set up a Residents' Association, or contact the Community Involvement Officer for more information.

Area, projects and funding

Rural West Villages is in the Rural West York Ward.

Housing Environment Improvement Programme

The Housing Environment Improvement Programme (HEIP) helps to deliver 'local priorities' including things tenants have identified as important in their area.

Any ideas for making your area a better place to live, which might attract HEIP funding, can be submitted to your local councillor, Residents' Association, Community Involvement Officer or Housing Management Officer for discussion at a ward team meeting.

When local priorities and scheme suggestions have been agreed, we'll update this page with more information.

Get involved
