Residents' Associations

Planned maintenance to the Planning Portal

Due to an upgrade to the Planning Portal between 9am and midday on Saturday 21 October, customers will be unable to view documents on the site during this time.

Residents' Associations focus on:

  • housing concerns
  • community issues
  • the local environment
  • local issues

There are many Residents' Associations across the city, each with a geographically defined area. We recognise these associations as playing an important role in building local communities, contributing to our policies and shaping the delivery of services to tenants in York.

Find out more about setting up Resident Associations.

You can join a Residents' Association if you live within its boundaries, regardless of whether you're a council tenant, private tenant or a homeowner. Contact us if you are unsure which association area you are in.
