Private sector housing fuel poverty report

The Private Sector House Conditions Survey (2008) carried out by the City of York Council identified that there are currently in the region of 6,000 (8.2%) households living in fuel poverty within the city. 

Households are defined as being in fuel poverty if they spend more than 10% of their total income on heating their homes for health and comfort. 

A report on fuel poverty within the city based on information taken from the house conditions survey is available to download.
