Preventing bird scarer noise nuisance

For considerate bird scarer or bird deterrent use we recommend that you:

  • place the device far away from neighbouring residential properties
  • point the device in the opposite direction to residential properties
  • avoid the device being within 200m of sensitive buildings before 7.00am
  • take note of the prevailing wind when siting the device
  • use sound reflective or absorbent baffles (straw bales) to concentrate the sound onto the field
