Licences for approved marriage venues:

  • are valid for 3 years
  • are issued subject to an inspection

Marriage venue licence fees

The fees for new licences and for renewals vary, dependent on the capacity of the venue.

New marriage venue licence fees

  • up to 75 people: £1,000
  • 76 to 200 people: £1,500
  • 201 people and over: £3,250

Marriage venue licence renewal fees

  • up to 75 people: £900
  • 76 to 200 people: £1,350
  • 201 people and over: £2,925
