Paying your bill

Regardless of which service or bill you are trying to pay, we offer a number of options to make paying as convenient as possible.

Some of the available payment options for your council tax, business rates and council rent are shown here.

Direct Debit

You can pay your council tax, business rates (National Non Domestic Rates) and council rent by Direct Debit.

Credit or debit card

If you wish to make a payment by credit or debit card you can:

Please note that all credit card transactions incur a 2% surcharge and we can only accept VISA and MasterCard.

Pingit

We allow payment via Barclays Pingit for council tax.

Cash and cheque payments

You can make payments by cash or cheque at any Post Office, or by cash at any shop or garage displaying the PayPoint symbol for your:

Instalment plans

Council Tax

Council tax can be set up in the following instalment plans:

  • 1 instalment
  • 2 instalments
  • 10 instalments
  • 12 instalments

Most bills are set to 10 instalments, so if you wish to change it, please contact our council tax department as soon as possible.

Business rates

Business rates can be set up in the following instalment plans:

  • 1 instalment
  • 2 instalments
  • 10 instalments
