Your input to waste and recycling services

We work in partnership with our communities as everyone can play their part in reducing waste; you can help us by:

  • remembering to put your waste and recycling materials at your collection point before 7am on the day of collection
  • making sure your rubbish is contained within your bin or black sack (extra bags will not be collected)
  • not putting dangerous or heavy items such as waste oil, paint, rubble or metal bars in your bin
  • taking the opportunity to reduce the amount of waste your household or business creates
  • considering home composting as an alternative to sending your waste to landfill
  • reporting fly-tipping and bags and bins put out too early for collection so that we can investigate
  • telling us when you have a concern about our service
  • filling in our customer surveys and questionnaires
