Local Area Energy Planning
We worked with Energy Systems Catapult to create a Local Area Energy Plan (LAEP) for York.
LAEPs are a holistic, spatial approach to decarbonising an area’s energy system that provides decision-makers with the detailed information needed to support informed policy and investment decisions.
Producing a LAEP will contribute to delivering the net zero ambition for York by 2030, providing an optimised, cost-effective, and evidence-based pathway to achieving our target.
The City of York LAEP aligns with the 3 other LAEPs that were created across North Yorkshire, which provides efficiency savings and ensure an integrated approach to infrastructure investment and delivery.
