Electoral register fees and charges
Prices for purchasing the Register of Electors are governed by the Representation of the People (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2002.

Buying the full register of electors
Charges for purchasing the full register (Regulation 111(5)) are:
- data on CD/email: £20.00, plus £1.50 per 1000 entries (or part)
- printed copy: £10.00, plus £5.00 per 1000 entries (or part)
Charges for purchasing the list of overseas electors (Regulation 111(6)) are:
- data on CD/email: £20.00, plus £1.50 per 1000 entries (or part)
- printed copy: £10.00, plus £5.00 per 1000 entries (or part)
Postage and packing is charged at £10.00 and will be added to the final calculation (where applicable).
For calculating estimated costs per 1000, the approximate size of York's full Register of Electors is 147,000 entries.
Buying the open register of electors
Charges for purchasing the open register of electors (Regulation 110(2)), they are:
- data on CD/email form: £20.00 admin fee, plus £1.50 per 1000 entries (or part)
- printed copy: £10.00 admin fee, plus £5.00 per 1000 entries (or part)
For calculating estimated costs per 1000, the approximate size of York's open Register of Electors is 63,000 entries.
