York Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair (York Apprenticeship Recruitment Event)

We are collaborating with York Jobs Fair to host a York Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair.

We are collaborating with York Jobs Fair to host a York Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair.

It is going to be held on Wednesday 13 March 2024 at York Barbican. Drop in any time between 11.00am and 6.00pm.

All ages welcome from York and North Yorkshire to find out about apprenticeship opportunities and job vacancies as well as re-skilling and up-skilling.

Information sessions will run throughout the day, however job-seeker sessions will run from 11.00am to 3.00pm and apprenticeship sessions will run from 3.00 to 6.00pm.

Year 11 Apprenticeship Taster Days

The Year 11 Apprenticeship Taster Days were on Tuesday 16 January and Thursday 18 January 2024. The 2025 dates are yet to be confirmed.

Each year York year 11 students get to 'try before they buy', to test their next steps after secondary school.

The York Apprenticeship Hub work with local employers to offer an apprenticeship taster option as part of the taster days. More information and applications will be sent out in the autumn term.

National Apprenticeship Week

The next National Apprenticeship Week is from 5 February to 11 February 2024.

During National Apprenticeship Week, schools, colleges, employers, career advisers and thousands of students come together to celebrate apprenticeships. Top employers and organisations showcase their opportunities, provide information and host online and in-person events.

Locally, York College is hosting an apprenticeship employer fair on Monday 5 February, 5.30pm to 8.00pm and Derwent Training (Malton-based engineering and management training provider) is hosting an apprenticeship open event on Tuesday 6 February, 4.30pm to 7.00pm.
