As a city committed to supporting all our residents, we want to make sure that we have the right provision in place to help children and young people in York with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to fulfil their individual potential.

Take part in our SEND Consultation

We need to provide a wide range of provision to meet the varied and complex needs of our children and young people, within the budget available. And we need your help to make sure we have the right provision in place.

You can get involved in the consultation in a number of ways:

You can take part in our online consultation or you can complete a paper copy of the consultation, available from Explore Libraries and Gateway Centres. Please note that the survey closes on Wednesday 30 June.

View our ‘Ask The Leaders live Q&A’ discussion from 13 May 2021, which included answers to questions about the SEND Inclusion Review.

The SEND Inclusion Review background document provides more detailed information about services for children and young people with SEND requirements in York.

Alternately, email jointpartnership@york.gov.uk to request a copy of the SEND Inclusion Review background document easy read version.
